Leigh is Chairman of Qantas Airways Limited.

He previously worked for mining and minerals company the Rio Tinto Group, where he was a Director of Rio Tinto PLC from 1994 and Rio Tinto Limited from 1995, and was Chief Executive of the Rio Tinto Group from 2000 until May 2007.
