What we do

Barclays Corporate Development is the driver of Barclays internal merger and acquisition activity – tasked with identifying new opportunities, executing deals and ensuring compliance with our own and regulatory governance throughout the process.

The Corporate Development team advises internally on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures or capital raisings, working in small teams with colleagues from across the business to manage every stage.

Based at Barclays global headquarters in London, the Corporate Development team has a truly global remit, often working on highly confidential transactions which require overseas travel to analyse and negotiate deals. The team also works closely with some of Barclays most senior leaders, and colleagues from areas including Legal, Tax, Finance, Strategy & Planning and Risk.
