Investor Relations
What we do
The team communicates with existing and potential shareholders all over the world several times a day, working with teams across Barclays to answer their queries and source information they may request about the Group. Shareholders frequently call the Investor Relations office to find out more about issues from news stories to corporate strategy – anything that could potentially affect Barclays share price and, in turn, their investment in the business.
The Investor Relations professionals also assist with collating Barclays financial results, sourcing accurate information to include in the Group’s Annual Report and formulating financial results announcements.

A role in Investor Relations requires excellent communication skills and an understanding of international stock markets.
Investor Relations Analyst
Our Investor Relations Analysts’ duties include helping to plan and execute investor events all over the world, and collating invaluable shareholder briefing material for senior Barclays executives.

Training in a wealth of business skills is available via Barclays online and classroom-based courses, but much of the sector-specific skills are learned though experience.
Barclays Investor Relations team is based at the Group’s headquarters in London’s Canary Wharf.
