The Female FTSE Board Report 2010
The Female FTSE Board Report, sponsored by Barclays, benchmarks women executive directors on corporate boards in the UK. The Report ranks the companies with the highest percentage of female board members and lists the companies with no female representation.
In 2010, only 13 per cent of new appointments to FTSE 100 boards in the UK were women. Progress over the last three years has plateaued and the Report makes recommendations to accelerate the pace of change.

Responsible Banking Review 2009

In 2009, our sustainability strategy focused on responsible banking. We reported against three themes: Responsible finance, citizenship, and financing the future.
Barclays Cash Card Account
In 2009, Barclays commissioned independent research among low-income customers to better understand their needs and account habits. We are now sharing the results with UK policymakers and consumer groups to help inform the financial inclusion agenda.
Storm Shelter: Managing climate risks in Africa
Barclays commissioned one of the world's leading centres of climate change expertise to provide a comprehensive overview of the economic impacts of climate variability in Africa.
Tomorrow's Philanthropist
This report was authored by Ledbury Research on behalf of Barclays Wealth, to examine how the changing attitudes of high net worth donors will alter the future of charitable giving. It is based on two main strands of research, conducted by Ledbury Research in May 2009.
Sustainability Review 2008
In 2008, we focused on five strategic sustainability themes where we believe progress to be of greatest value to our business and stakeholders.
Sustainability Review 2007
For Barclays, the 2007 Review marked an important shift from corporate responsibility, to sustainability. It is the first time we reported in this way and signified far more than just a change of name.
Corporate Responsibility Report 2006
Barclays eighth Corporate Responsibility Report sets out why corporate responsibility is an integral part of our business strategy and how we are addressing the social, environmental and ethical challenges and opportunities we face in our business around the world.
Corporate Responsibility Report 2005
Responsible banking is an integral part of the way we do business and a central element of our overall strategy to make Barclays one of the world's leading banks. It also underpins how the 2005 report has been written. It describes what has been achieved in the last 12 months but also sets out what we mean by responsible banking, and how we seek to make it real for our customers, colleagues and the communities we serve.
Corporate Responsibility Report 2004
Working responsibly is the theme of the 2004 report. Corporate responsibility is increasingly at the heart of our business. It is about how we conduct business; how we choose to be profitable and not just how we make our social investment.
Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2003
2003 was a landmark year for Barclays and our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Over the past 12 months we have fundamentally reviewed our CSR strategy against an agenda that is becoming more challenging and increasingly complex.
Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2002
This report summarises how Barclays progressed its responsibilities to customers, employees, communities and the environment in 2002.
