Barclays is a member of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme – a best practice group through which Barclays colleagues can engage with representatives from a number of leading businesses to discuss diversity issues.
Spectrum Network
Established in 2002, Barclays Spectrum Network spans the Barclays Group and supports Barclays lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees with subgroups across every division.
Mentoring
Barclays offers specific mentoring opportunities for LGBT employees across the business.
Independent recognition
Our Spectrum Network was named Employee Network of the Year at the annual Stonewall Awards announced in January 2011.
Barclays was named one of the top ten UK employers for LGBT people in the Annual Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. The index assessed more than 370 public and private organisations on a number of measures, including how they implement equality policies and their performance on recruitment and mentoring. The ranking was an improvement on the previous year's performance, when Barclays finished 22nd overall.
