Barclays in Australia
Barclays has had a presences in Australia since 1969. Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and Barclays Capital both operate in the country.
In 2007, BGI was named one of Australia’s fastest-growing asset managers in a survey by independent credit ratings company Standard & Poor’s.
In the 2008 IFR Asia Awards, Barclays Capital was named Australia and New Zealand Bond House of the Year.
