Barclays in Pakistan

Pakistan became a member of the Emerging Markets in December 2007 when the State Bank of Pakistan granted Barclays the license to operate in Pakistan.

Barclays Bank Pakistan commenced operations in July 2008; and serves its customers and clients across the country through a network of 31 ATMs and 14 branches; five branches in Lahore, four in Karachi, one in Islamabad and two in Rawalpindi. The Barclays network has extended its presence to the rural centres of Mangla, and Rawat with a branch in each of these locations.

In Pakistan, the Barclays businesses include: 

  • Retail Banking: offers customers a range of personal accounts, consumer loans, Bancassurance and Premier Banking services
  • Barclays Commercial Bank: offers corporate clients cash management, loans, savings and risk management services, supported by a dedicated Relationship Manager.
