Leading in the sector

We have been working on managing our environmental impact for more than ten years, and regularly adapt our practices, products and services around the world to cope with the challenge.

We also have a role to play in raising awareness of climate change among our customers and clients. We’re doing this by creating products and services that can help our consumers and businesses minimise their carbon footprint and choose to sustainable, low-carbon alternatives.

Across the Barclays Group globally, we are exploring commercial opportunities which support our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Partnerships

Through a range of collaborative projects, we are helping to fund initiatives to decrease carbon emissions around the world, in a sustainable way.

Among our partners are SolarAid, an organisation which brings solar power to communities in developing countries, and through our Barclays International Climate Change programme (BICC) we have joined forces with government departments in the UK and Kenya.
