“Barclays and its employees are in a position to make a big difference to the communities in which we operate."

Barclays Spaces for Sports

The programme launched in 2004 in the UK and has now delivered 200 community sports sites in partnership with two charities, the Football Foundation and Groundwork.

Barclays Spaces for Sports was extended in 2008 to include more countries where Barclays operates. Sports sites and projects have already been established in South Africa, the United States, Spain and Zambia, with a further site under development in China. More sites and projects will be announced in other countries.

We are also working with the Football Foundation to ensure the 200 UK sites become self-supporting with a sustainable future.
